Ode to the Tomato
Pleated, pampered, smooth and tight,
Tomatoes are resting, melting in the sun.
Sculptural shapes, curves and colors of love –
Who would have thought that a single tomato could contain
As many as 400 different flavor secrets?
Botanists will smile – what kind of vegetable is this?
This is a giant berry, after all, it was picked, not plucked!
We praise them with raspberry and plum names
We are amazed when we bite!
Sweetness caresses the palate in return!
Children's favorites - cheerful cherry trees
Clinging together in bunches, real sweets,
Maybe they imitate grapes?
There are so many of them in the pile!
When we taste it, we feel summer in our mouths.
On green branches - a garland:
The yellows and reds are shining,
After all, these are the first to ripen!
Ready to travel straight from the crib
To create eternal culinary friendships.
Where is tomato, basil and milky burrata –
The chef's famous sonata sounds on the plate.
